MLA Annual Meeting: Development for Libraries with No Development Staff

Most of the libraries in Maine don't have a dedicated development person on staff. Join us for a panel discussion on ways you and your staff can fit development activities into your already busy jobs, and get more specific help during breakout sessions with our panelists. Then chat with colleagues during lunch and stay for the business meeting in the afternoon.

10:00am Check-In & Mingle

10:30am - 12:30pm Panel discussion and Breakout Sessions

Susan Geismer, Development Coordinator at Auburn Public Library
Dave Mosley, Development Coordinator at Topsham Public Library
Hannah Young, Director of Development and Marketing at Bangor Public Library

12:30pm Networking Lunch

1:30pm MLA Annual Business Meeting

Attendance at the morning sessions and lunch is $25 for members and
$35 for non-members. Payment for the full meeting with lunch is online only, due during registration. Attendance at the afternoon meeting is free.

Please register ahead of time. Online payments accepted at time of registration. Space is limited.

Food:

Lunch will be bagged lunches from Wild Oats Bakery and Cafe. Please include your preferences when you register. Meal descriptions:

Wild Oats Club: smoked turkey and ham, with swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, sprouts
Turkey BLT: smoked turkey with bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato
Cracked Pepper Turkey: cracked pepper turkey with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and carrots
Chutney Chicken Salad: fresh chicken salad with mango chutney and walnuts, with carrots, lettuce and tomato
Avocado & Cheddar: fresh avocado and cheddar, with lettuce, tomato and carrots (vegetarian)
Hummus and Veggies (Vegan)

All meals served with chips and a chocolate chip cookie. Condiments will be served on the side.
