This is an especially exciting time to join MLA’s advocacy efforts—MLA is onboarding a lobbyist, and pending legislation in Maine could bring significant benefits to libraries. As Legislative Chair, you’ll work closely with the MLA leadership team and the Legislative Committee to set advocacy priorities, draft MLA’s annual Legislative Agenda, monitor state and national legislation, and mobilize members to take action.
