• Academics: Connect with colleagues from colleges, universities, and other research institutions.
  
  
• YSS: This room ill be available for those who are interested in meeting with other folks who are involved in youth services. We will be talking about virtual programming, summer reading, booklists, and more. Breakout questions will be available.
  
  
• Reopening Idea Sharing: Join us for a discussion about reopening plans. This will not be a discussion where MLA gives any specific guidance, but rather a means to have an informal exchange of ideas and plans, in a respectful and productive manner. We all understand that different libraries are dealing with different pressures and populations, so we will probably not approach reopening in exactly the same ways- but we can share ideas on how we handle the details in a way that keeps our staff and communities safe!
  
  
• Finances: The next year is sure to bring financial challenges to both our libraries and our patrons. How do you plan to weather the storm? What ideas do you have for providing programming and resources to patrons hit hard by the economic downturn and/or job loss? And how can you deliver those resources safely as we continue social distancing? Join us for an informal conversation about library operations in difficult financial times.
