SUNDAY PRE-CONFERENCE workshop: from anxiety to action - how the sustainable libraries certification program builds stronger communities
Rebekkah Smith Aldrich will lead this half-day workshop where participants will be provided with knowledge on how to support their communities by advancing social connections. Did you know the effects of loneliness and isolation are as devastating to our health and well-being as chronic health conditions? Libraries can help their communities establish deeper social connections with the programs and services they already offer, with a renewed focus and re-branding using the Sustainable Libraries Certification Program to help your library lead the way. Learn how the public library serves as the community catalyst for systemic changes in social, financial and environmental practices in this award-winning certification program, while building stronger and more connected communities that combat loneliness and isolation.
